Paul Mpagi Sepuya (b. 1982 San Bernardino, CA, lives and works in Los Angeles) was a 2018 Light Work Artist in Residence. He is known for his New York portrait series and artist zines 2000s, later moving into studio-based projects that question and complicate questions of authorship, the visualization of race and sexuality, and the structures of the photographic medium.
