S. Billie Mandle is an artist and professor of photography at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her projects have been supported by fellowships from Light Work, Yaddo, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and a research grant from the University of California Los Angeles Archives. Her books include "Asunder" (TBW, forthcoming 2025), "Circumference" (Dust Collective, 2024), "Reconciliation" (Kehrer Verlag, 2020), and "Stellar Skytron" (Dust Collective, 2020). She was nominated for the Foam Paul Huf Award and the Prix Pictet and her photographs are held in several public collections including the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She previously taught at Hampshire College and has an MFA from MassArt and a BA in biology from Williams College. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
